Book your private transfer to / from Dalaman Airport with Airport Executive

Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the main gateway to Turkey's spectacular Turquoise Coast, serving the holiday resorts, marinas and ancient landscapes that stretch across Muğla Province. From Göcek's upmarket harbour to the iconic Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz, from the river ruins of Dalyan to the boutique villages of Kalkan and Kaş, DLM puts the best of the Turkish Riviera within easy reach.

Airport Executive provides professional, chauffeur-driven transfers to and from Dalaman Airport, taking you directly to your resort, villa or hotel without the stress of shared coaches, waiting around or navigating unfamiliar roads. Our drivers track your flight and are waiting in the arrivals hall with a name board when you land, ready to handle your luggage and get your holiday started the right way.

With over 30 years of private transfer experience, we offer a range of vehicles from comfortable economy saloons through to First Class luxury and large MPVs for groups and families. Prices are fixed at the time of booking with no hidden charges.

Why Choose Airport Executive for Your Dalaman Transfer

Dalaman Airport can be one of the busiest airports in Turkey during the summer season, with peak arrival and departure queues that make getting on the road quickly a genuine priority. Having a professional driver waiting for you in arrivals, rather than hunting for a taxi rank or waiting for a shared coach to fill, makes a real difference after a long flight.

  • Flight tracking included as standard, so your driver adjusts for delays at no extra cost.
  • Meet and greet service in the arrivals hall with a name board and luggage assistance.
  • Fixed prices confirmed at booking. No surge charges and no hidden extras.
  • Professional, licensed chauffeurs with over 30 years of transfer experience.
  • Vehicles from economy saloons to First Class luxury, with executive MPVs for families and groups.
  • Direct transfers to all major resorts, marinas and villa destinations across the Turquoise Coast.

Meeting Your Driver at Dalaman Airport

Arrivals

Dalaman Airport has two terminal buildings: the International Terminal handles flights from outside Turkey, and the Domestic Terminal handles flights within Turkey. Most passengers arriving from the United Kingdom will land at the International Terminal.

After landing, you will proceed through passport control, collect your luggage from one of eight baggage claim belts and exit into the arrivals hall. Your Airport Executive driver will be waiting here with a name board showing your name, ready to take your bags and escort you to the vehicle. The whole process from landing to meeting your driver typically takes around an hour, depending on the size of the arriving flight and passport control queues.

Departures

For departures from Dalaman International Terminal, your driver will drop you at the terminal entrance. Note that Dalaman Airport operates a double security check: there is an initial baggage screening at the terminal entrance before you reach check-in, and a second security check after check-in and before the departure gates. Your driver will assist with luggage to the entrance and see you through the first checkpoint before leaving you to continue through to your gate.

Airport Extras at Dalaman

Lounges

CIP Lounge (International Terminal)

The CIP Lounge is the main departure lounge for international passengers at Dalaman Airport. Located on the third floor of the International Terminal, past passport control and near the duty-free shops in front of Gate 39, it is open according to the flight schedule during the main season. Note that hours are reduced or the lounge may be closed entirely between November and March when the airport operates on a reduced schedule.

The lounge offers food and snacks, a full drinks service including alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, workstations, TVs, newspapers, air conditioning and resting beds. Maximum stay is three hours. Access is available to Priority Pass, DragonPass, Diners Club and American Express Platinum cardholders. Walk-in day passes are available for approximately €30 per person, with lower rates available when pre-booked online.

DLM Lounge (Domestic Terminal)

A separate lounge is available in the Domestic Terminal on the third floor, accessible after security. It is open from 08:00 to 23:00 and accepts Priority Pass. Facilities include a prayer room, computers, television, Wi-Fi, snacks and beverages. This lounge is intended for passengers on domestic Turkish flights and is not relevant for most international travellers arriving from the UK.

Fast Track Security

Official CIP and VIP fast track services are available at Dalaman Airport, operated by the airport authority and bookable through authorised providers. These services include a dedicated greeter, priority handling through the entrance security check, assisted check-in where possible, and access to the CIP Lounge. Fast track is particularly worthwhile during the peak summer months of July and August when the terminal can become very busy. Pre-booking in advance of your departure is strongly recommended. Fast track is available for the main season from March through to December.

Luggage Storage

There is no dedicated luggage storage facility inside Dalaman Airport terminal. If you need to store bags while visiting the area, services such as LuggageHero offer storage options at partner locations in Dalaman town. We recommend confirming availability directly before your trip.

Dining

Dalaman Airport has a wide range of food and drink options airside in the International Terminal, though it is worth noting that prices are high by comparison with the surrounding area.

Burger King and McDonald's are both available airside for familiar fast food before your flight, along with KFC and Popeye's for additional quick-service options.

Simit Sarayi is a popular Turkish bakery chain serving simit bread rings, pastries, sandwiches and hot drinks. It is available both airside and landside in the terminal and offers a more locally flavoured alternative to the international chains.

Sbarro offers Italian-style pizza by the slice airside, and Subway provides made-to-order sandwiches for those wanting something lighter.

Starbucks is available in the terminal for coffees, cold drinks and snacks. Café Turka in the landside area offers Turkish coffee and pastries for those with time before check-in opens.

Shopping

Dalaman Airport's duty-free shopping is operated by Unifree, with a well-stocked shop airside offering spirits, wine, perfume, cosmetics, tobacco and confectionery. Turkish delight, lokum and other regional sweets make for easy gifts to take home. The terminal also features a grand bazaar-style shopping area with Turkish ceramics, leather goods, jewellery, textiles and handicrafts for those wanting to browse before departure.

Timing Tips for Dalaman Airport

Arrivals

For most international arrivals, allow approximately one hour from landing to meeting your driver in the arrivals hall. This accounts for passport control, baggage claim and the walk through the terminal. In peak summer season, particularly July and August when the airport handles very high volumes, passport control queues can be longer and you should allow up to 90 minutes.

UK passport holders do not currently require a visa to visit Turkey for tourism purposes, though you will need a valid passport and may be asked to provide return travel details and accommodation information at the border. Entry requirements can change, so check the latest guidance from the UK Foreign Office before travel.

Departures

For international departures, arrive at the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure time. Dalaman operates a double security process: your luggage passes through an X-ray machine at the terminal entrance before you reach check-in, and you go through a second security check with hand luggage after check-in before reaching the departure gates. Both checks can have queues during busy periods, and failing to account for them is a common reason passengers feel rushed.

For domestic flights within Turkey, arriving two hours before departure is sufficient.

Check-in and baggage drop typically closes one to one and a half hours before departure. During July and August and around public holidays, allow an extra 30 minutes on top of standard guidance.

Top Attractions Near Dalaman Airport

Ölüdeniz and the Blue Lagoon
Ölüdeniz is one of Turkey's most photographed places, and with good reason. The Blue Lagoon, a partially enclosed bay of luminously clear water protected as a national park, sits at the foot of Babadağ Mountain and draws visitors from across Europe. The beach is one of the finest on the Mediterranean, and paragliding from the 1,969-metre summit of Babadağ down to the shoreline is an experience that regularly features on lists of the world's best tandem paragliding sites.

Fethiye and the Lycian Rock Tombs
Fethiye is a working port town built around and quite literally over the ruins of the ancient Lycian city of Telmessos. The towering rock-cut tomb of Amyntas, carved into the cliff above the town in the fourth century BC, is visible from much of the waterfront. Below it, the old bazaar, the fish market and the harbour restaurants make Fethiye an easy and rewarding place to spend a day, with regular boat trips departing to bays and islands along the coast.

Göcek and Blue Voyage Gulet Cruises
Göcek is the most refined and unhurried resort on the Dalaman stretch of coast, a small town clustered around a marina that serves as the traditional starting point for week-long gulet cruises through the islands and bays of the Turquoise Coast. The town itself has good restaurants, boutique hotels and a laid-back character that draws a more discerning traveller than the larger package resorts further east.

Dalyan River and İztuzu Beach
The town of Dalyan sits on a wide river channel between the open sea and the freshwater Lake Köyceğiz, framed by two-thousand-year-old Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliff faces above the water. Boat trips up the river pass the tombs before arriving at İztuzu Beach, a long sand spit that is one of the most important nesting sites in the Mediterranean for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). The beach is managed carefully to protect the nests during the breeding season.

Butterfly Valley
Accessible by boat from Ölüdeniz and Fethiye, Butterfly Valley is a narrow gorge cut into the cliffs of the Baba Peninsula, its sheer walls rising 350 metres above a shingle beach and a small stream. The valley takes its name from the more than 100 species of butterfly that inhabit it, including the rare Jersey Tiger. There are no roads in or out, which keeps the valley unspoiled and makes the boat journey part of the appeal.

Kayaköy (Ghost Village)
A short drive from Fethiye, Kayaköy is a hillside village of approximately 350 roofless stone houses, churches and chapels, abandoned since the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923. Walking through the empty streets and restored mosaics, with the sea visible in the valley below, is an unexpectedly moving experience. The site is protected as a historic monument and is among the most evocative abandoned settlements in Europe.

Marmaris
Marmaris is the largest resort on the Dalaman coast, set in a deep bay ringed by pine-covered hills. The town offers a long beach promenade, a preserved old castle and bazaar quarter, and an active marina that makes it a popular starting point for sailing holidays. Boat trips to Cleopatra Island, Turunc Beach and the surrounding bays run throughout the season, and the nightlife along Bar Street is among the most animated on the Turkish Riviera.

Saklıkent Gorge
One of Turkey's most dramatic natural landscapes, Saklıkent Gorge cuts through the Taurus Mountains approximately 45 kilometres south-east of Fethiye. The gorge is 18 kilometres long and up to 300 metres deep, and the walk through the freezing mountain water at its base is one of the most exhilarating day trips available from the Dalaman area. A raised wooden walkway alongside the gorge entrance, with restaurants and platforms over the rushing river, makes for an atmospheric stopping point even for those who do not want to wade.
