Arriving at OTP
Henri Coandă International operates separate arrivals areas for Schengen and non-Schengen passengers.
If you are arriving from within the Schengen Area, you will exit through the Ground Level arrivals hall. Your driver will be waiting beyond the customs exit with a name board displaying your name.
If you are arriving from outside the Schengen Area, including flights from the United Kingdom, the United States and long-haul international destinations, you will exit through the Level 1 arrivals hall after clearing passport control. Your driver will be waiting at the exit with a name board.
If you are unsure which hall to head to, follow the signage for your flight type after landing. If you have any difficulty locating your driver, call the number in your booking confirmation and they will guide you to them.
Departing from OTP
Your driver will drop you at the kerbside departures zone on Level 1, directly in front of the terminal entrance. From there, you are a short walk from the check-in hall. Your driver will assist with luggage to the drop-off point.

The main business lounge at Henri Coandă, the Dacia is located airside near Gates 7 and 8 in the Schengen and international departures area. Open 24 hours, it is accessible to business class passengers flying with Aegean, Air France, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, SWISS and TAROM, as well as eligible TAROM frequent flyers and Mastercard World and World Elite cardholders issued in Romania. Satellite Business Lounge
Located in the non-Schengen departures zone, accessible after Romanian exit immigration, the Satellite lounge serves passengers flying with Air Serbia, British Airways, El Al, flydubai, Qatar Airways, TAROM and Turkish Airlines. Available to eligible business class passengers on those carriers.
Mastercard Business Lounge
Situated near Gate 12 in the domestic departures area, this lounge is open from 05:00 to 21:00 and is accessible to Mastercard Platinum, World and World Elite cardholders. Pay-at-door is also available.
Luggage Storage
There is no left luggage facility within the terminal at Henri Coandă International. Third-party off-site storage services are available in the surrounding area through providers including Eelway and Vertoe, and can be pre-booked online. Timing Tips for Henri Coandă International Airport
Arriving at OTP
Processing times differ depending on whether you are arriving on a Schengen or non-Schengen flight.
If you are arriving from within the Schengen Area, there is no passport control to clear. Baggage reclaim and customs can be completed in under 20 minutes in normal conditions, and your driver will be ready to meet you shortly after landing.
If you are arriving from outside the Schengen Area, including flights from the United Kingdom, the Middle East and long-haul destinations, allow approximately 45 to 60 minutes from landing to clearing passport control, collecting your baggage and exiting into the arrivals hall. During the summer peak and December, queues can extend this time. Your driver will be tracking your flight throughout and will adjust their timing automatically.
Departing from OTP
Recommended arrival times at the airport also differ by route type.
For Schengen and short-haul flights, arrive at least two hours before your scheduled departure. During peak periods, including mornings from 05:00 to 08:00, late afternoons from 16:00 to 19:00, and throughout July, August and December, allow two and a half hours.
For non-Schengen and long-haul international flights, arrive at least three hours before your scheduled departure. During peak periods, three and a half hours is advisable. Check-in and baggage drop closing times vary by airline, so confirm these with your carrier before you travel.

Palace of the Parliament
